Profenophos 40% + Cypermethrin 4% EC a broad spectrum foliar insecticide with acardal properties for use in vegetable crops and cotton against caterpillars, aphids, mites and other sucking pests and combination product for the control of bollworm complex.
One shot solution of sucking and chewing pests
It is having excellent translaminar action, when sprayed on the upper surface of leaf; it immediately percolates down to the lower surface of the leaf.
It is absorbed readily in plant cells thus not affected by rainfall.

Profenophos is a non-systemic insecticide with contact and stomach action and has strong contact, stomach, and ovicidal action on lepidopterous eggs
Cypermethrin is a non-systemic insecticide with strong contact action, rapid knock-down effect and excellent residual activity and also has repellent effect on flying moths
It is an organophosphate and synthetic insecticide, it works by potent inhibition of the enzyme acetyl cholinesterase, after feeding on a treated plant or crawling over a treated leaf, the pest is first paralyzed and then quickly dies.
It is having dual mode of action
Profenophos is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme acetyl cholinesterase, which is essential for the transmission of impulses between nerve cells
It binds tightly to and inhibit the enzyme acetyl cholinesterase and disrupts nerve impulse transmission by acting in synaptic regions of insect nerve cell
While Cypermethrin is a Sodium channel modulator, it inhibits the sodium ion entry into the nerve cells which leads to the hyper excitation of the nerves
This nerve overstimulation followed by convulsions and paralysis leads to death of the target insect
