Mode of Action: Systemic insecticide

Imidacloprid belongs to chemical class of neonicotinoid insecticides.
It is a systemic insecticide that acts as an insect neurotoxin and belongs to a class of chemicals called the neonicotinoids which act on the central nervous system of insects.
Being systemic in nature, it is relatively safer to natural enemies and acts selectively on sucking pests.
It readily taken up by the plant & further distributed acropetally, with good root- systemic action.
